AI technologies must be developed in a way that is aligned to the UN Sustainable Development Goals
How can AI contribute to a better quality of life?
The benefits of AI in contributing to the economic productivity are well-documented. However, the benefits of AI technologies should go further than economic gains. With regulation, AI technologies have the potential to contribute to a better quality of life. This includes reducing inequalities (SDGs 1 , 2 and 10), ensuring decent work (SDG 8) and promoting well-being and increased leisure time to allow people to pursue diverse and creative interests (SDG 3).
